The Surrounding Area

Ma-Rabu is built on a mountainside, with a spectacular view of the Aegean Sea, overlooking the small village Melinta.

In Melinta you will find three Taverns on the beach, and a similar number of houses.

The village of Plomari is located about 5km away. It is the largest village on the island, where you will find a variety of restaurants and taverns, a clinic, a pharmacy, food stores, etc.

As the sun sets, the village comes to life: the bars and restaurants are bustling with tourists and locals until the wee hours of the night.

Ma-Rabu’s perfect location allows direct access to short and/or long hiking trails in and around untouched nature at its best, or you can stroll through the countless olive and pine trees, spread on the mountains overlooking the sea. 

About 2km from the complex there is a narrow path leading to the beach, where you will find a small church located within a stunning bay with a natural hot spring, coming from within the volcanic rocks that forged the island.
